Cold Drawn Seamless Steel Tubing
Cold drawn seamless is made from a seamless steel hollow. It is further processed by cold drawing over a mandrel, to control the ID, and through dies to control the OD. CDS is used in applications where a heavier wall is required, than can be produced as a DOM product. CDS is superior in surface quality, dimensional tolerances and strength when compared to hot finished seamless tubing.
Typical uses are bushings, transportation components, fluid components and heavy machine parts.
